Don’t Trust the Mind—Trust the Heart

A blog for the woman who’s tired of overthinking and ready to feel her way back to truth.

The mind will make you spiral. The heart will lead you home.

If you’ve ever laid awake at night replaying conversations, predicting outcomes, or trying to control what you can’t understand it wasn’t your intuition speaking. It was fear. It was programming. It was your mind trying to protect you from a life your soul already signed up for.

But here’s the truth: You are not your mind. You are not your thoughts. You are not your logic.

Let’s teach for a second…because overthinking is a trauma response.

When your nervous system doesn’t feel safe, the mind goes into overdrive. You analyze, over prepare, rehearse, replay. Not because you’re broken but because control feels safer than surrender.

But the mind will always ask, “what if?” While the heart simply says, “yes.”

That’s why healing doesn’t happen in the brain. It happens in the body. In the moments where you stop thinking long enough to feel what’s real.

Let me be real—reflection time.

My mind told me to wait. To analyze. To protect. To make sense of the things that didn’t.

But my heart? It pulled me into moments that didn’t make sense, but felt like freedom. It whispered yes before I could rationalize it. It screamed when I tried to shrink into old versions of myself.

The most aligned decisions I’ve made didn’t come from strategy. They came from surrender.

Journal Prompt: What decision am I trying to think my way through that I need to feel my way into?

Your power isn’t in your next plan. It’s in your next pause.

Drop into your heart. Put your hand on your chest. Close your eyes. Breathe. Listen.
