Healing Soups + Nourishing Bowls
A blog for the woman who wants her meals to be medicine not just something to scroll past on Pinterest.
Soup season is a state of mind. And a good bowl? That’s therapy in a spoon.
These are the meals that hold you. That bring your body back when you’ve been in your head too long. That remind your nervous system you are safe, fed, and taken care of.
In the DavinaLiving kitchen, we don’t eat to numb we eat to nourish. And these are some of my go-to healing bowls that actually feel as good as they taste.

Healing Miso Broth with Seaweed + Greens

- Great during stress, recovery, or cycle syncing
How I Make Bowls a Ritual:
- Play calming music while I prep—your kitchen is sacred space (I put on some calming music like jazz. Something about the sax.)
- Add herbs or toppings with intention (think: basil = peace, parsley = cleanse)
- Eat slowly. Breathe between bites. Don’t scroll just feel.
Now let me be real—reflection time.
There were seasons where I didn’t eat to nourish. I ate to escape. And it left me more disconnected than before. If you want to dive deeper into how I used sugar to escape and what I discovered underneath those cravings check out my blog:
“Why Am I Craving Sex and Sugar?”
It’s raw, real, and might just wake something up in you too.
But these bowls? They changed that. They grounded me when nothing else could. They reminded me that healing can taste good.
Journal Prompt:
What would shift if I treated each meal like a gift to my body—not just a routine?
You don’t need a fancy kitchen. You just need intention.
Let your bowl be your reminder: You are worthy of care that fills you from the inside out.
