My Travel Packing Guide – What I Actually Bring
Packing doesn’t have to be stressful if you have a flow.
After years of overpacking, forgetting the essentials, or dragging around a suitcase that weighed more than me, I finally found my rhythm.
This is my go-to travel packing guide. No fluff, no TikTok trends just what actually works.
Step 1: Plan the Vibe, THEN Pack
Are you a city explorer, beach goddess, mountain muse? Know the energy of your trip first.
Then plan outfits, skincare, and accessories that match that vibe. You don’t need options. You need alignment.
Step 2: Your Packing Categories
Here’s how I break it down every time:
- Travel Day Outfit (comfy but cute)
- Everyday Looks (max 1 per day)
- Sleepwear
- Undergarments
- One Chill Fit (sweats, hoodie, socks)
- Dress-Up Look (just in case)
- Workout/Movement Set
- Shoes (max 2: everyday + one flex)
- Swimwear (if needed)
Step 3: Toiletries + Wellness Kit
- Refillable perfume bottle
- Travel-size everything (shampoo, conditioner, face wash, lotion etc.)
- Hairbrush/Comb + Styling products
- Any heating tools you use + (don’t forget that heat protection)
- Shower cap and or bonnet
- Toothbrush + Toothpaste + floss + mini mouthwash
- Hydration packets + vitamins
- Your go-to skincare routine (keep it light!)
- Cant forget the deodorant
Step 4: Tech + Essentials
- Portable charger
- Noise-canceling earbuds
- Laptop/iPad (if you work while you roam)
- Passport + ID
- Printed itinerary (yes, I’m that girl)
- Mini journal + pen
- Maybe a tripod for creation
Step 5: Packing Hacks That Save Me
- Use compression cubes for outfits
- Roll, don’t fold
- Keep one full outfit in your carry-on (always)
- Pre-pack your toiletry bag so it’s always ready
- Lay it all out before you pack it in
