Nothing Has Meaning—We Give It Meaning

A blog for the woman waking up to her power as the narrator, not the victim, of her life.

Let’s break a sacred truth wide open:

Nothing has meaning until you assign it.

That text left on read? That silence? That ending? Neutral until you wrapped it in a story. And the story? That’s what hurt.

We weren’t taught this. We were taught to react, assume, spiral. But what if you chose differently? What if you slowed down and asked:

When you start catching the stories you tell yourself… You start catching the power you’ve been leaking.

Here’s the shift:

Instead of: “They didn’t respond. I must not matter.”
Try: “Their behavior is neutral. My value stays the same.”

Instead of: “This always happens to me.”
Try: “I’m being shown something I’m ready to outgrow.”

Instead of: “I got rejected.”
Try: “I got redirected.”

“Opinions are just that… an opinion, until we makes them facts.”

The facts stay the same. The meaning? That’s your choice. And that choice? It changes your energy.

Real Talk Reflection:

There was a moment I sat with something that had me spiraling. And instead of reaching for validation, I asked:

And just like that, the grip loosened. Because I realized…

It wasn’t the situation. It was the story.

Journal Prompt:
Where in my life am I giving painful meaning to something that might just be neutral?

You are not what happened. You are not the silence, the ending, or the unread message. You are the one who decides what it means.

And when you change the meaning… you change the outcome.
